 BBC Micro:bit Recipes, (2019),  Pradeeka Seneviratne, Apress
A good guide for understanding Make:code block programming. 

 Micro:bit for Mad Scientists, (2019), Simon Monk, No Starch Press

A guide for projects using the Micro:bit, discusses both Make:code block programming and Python programming.  Also looks at electronics involved in using the Micro:bit in projects.

 The Invent to Learn Guide to the Micro:bit, (2023), Pauline Maas and Peter Heldens, CMK Press.  

A very good, detailed guide for building projects around the Micro:bit.  Focuses mostly on Make:code block programming.

 MATERIALS

The following websites sell Micro:bits as well as a number of products designed for the Micro:bit.  The sites also provide tutorials, activities, and demonstrations for the Micro:bit and Micro:bit projects.  The least expensive is usually SparkFun.

The basic components of a physical computing system include a sensor for input, a computer for processing/evaluating that input, and a device for output.
